About

A person wearing a blue collared button-up shirt with small white flowers printed on it while standing in front of a wall with a purple circle and pink and blue backgrounds painted on it.

My name is Guy S. Duke, a nonbinary poet and artist (they/them). I am originally from Western Canada and have lived in the Rio Grande Valley of deep south Texas since 2015. I have been writing poetry and other creative works since adolescence, off and on, and previously put out a ‘zine by the name of Collective Insanity in Canada from 1993-2003. I only relatively recently as queer (nonbinary, bisexual, polyamorous) as a middle-aged adult. Other important parts of my identity are having AuDHD (a recent diagnosis), being a parent and a partner, my work as a professor and archaeologist, and being an unrepentant cat person.
